Light a Candle
Dale Gordon Hayes, 70, of Albemarle NC, passed away on August 30, 2022 at NE Medical Center. He was born on February 29, 1952, in Chicago IL, to Betty and James Hayes. He married the love of his life, Elizabeth Grace Holder on July 25, 1998. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Holder Hayes, his parents, grandparents and niece, Stephanie. He leaves behind his sisters Gail Nichols (Steve),Jamie Hamilton (Carl), and Patricia Stephenson (Ray).He also leaves behind many nieces/ nephews, Carrianne Brewster(Don) and her children Donald Jr, Clayton, William, Alexander, Dylan, and Tyler; Carson Hamilton (Alexis), Jamison Hamilton, Emily LaRue (Tyree) and her daughter Brooklyn, Erinn LaRue (Kayleigh) and Stephanie Waggoner's children Johnathon Martin and Christian Waggoner. Dale was a prior resident of Rocky Mount for a period of 6 years. He moved to Albemarle in May to be close to his family. He loved to do crafts (Bug Boxes) and enjoyed be outdoors. He also loved to help with gardening duties in his apartment complex. The family will have a private memorial dinner on Saturday, September 2, 2022, at 6:00pm to celebrate his life. There will be no visitation. The burial will be done at Clayton Village Cemetery in August 2023.
